Hydrotherapy, a therapeutic practice that utilizes water in its various forms—liquid, ice, and steam—at different temperatures and pressures, has been used for centuries to address a range of health conditions. Despite its long history and global use, the scientific backing for hydrotherapy remains limited. This review seeks to consolidate existing research to better understand how hydrotherapy impacts various body systems.
