New Benefit for IASP Members
Dear IASP Member:
I am pleased to announce that IASP and Pain Research Forum (PRF) have agreed to join forces. Merging our respective capabilities will allow IASP to increase its support of the international pain research community by providing an integrated web platform that fosters scientific collaboration and enhances professional education and networking opportunities.
The PRF website, launched in 2011 as part of the Harvard NeuroDiscovery Center, encourages pain researchers and clinicians to exchange information and ideas about pain research and treatment. The new IASP Pain Research Forum will expand our members’ access to content and resources—for example, original independent reporting on pain research and treatment, weekly recommendations for recent important journal articles, and free webinars and discussion forums.
The complementary strengths of IASP and PRF will create a unified hub where you can find the latest information on pain research and new ways to connect with your colleagues around the globe.
In addition, PRF’s online publication, RELIEF, will expand our advocacy of effective pain management to members of the lay public who are interested in new developments in the field and recognized treatments for various types of pain.
IASP members who regularly visit PRF will continue to find the all of its familiar features as we complete the transition to an integrated IASP website in the coming months. I encourage those of you who have yet to visit the PRF site to do so. Additional information about the merger is available on the IASP website. If you have any questions, please contact us.
